Privacy policy and use of cookies
Last updated: August 2026
While gathering information about the people who use this website, we take your privacy very seriously and make every effort to safeguard your personal data. This privacy policy is intended to inform you of what information we collect, how this information is used and what steps we take to protect it. When visiting a third-party site from this website, we do not control the privacy policies of other parties, so please check before browsing on those sites to ensure you agree with their terms.
Ludic Media Studio is part of Ludic Group LLP, 10 Queen Street Place, London, EC4R 1AG. If you have a question about this policy or about the data we hold, write to us at creatives@ludicgroup.com.
What information we collect
We collect two kinds of information:
- Information you give us directly — for example when you send us an enquiry through the contact form, email us, or sign up to our mailing list.
- Website usage information gathered automatically, and only if you have given your consent, through the use of cookies. This includes tracking information for site usage analytics.
How this website uses cookies
Nothing optional is set before you have made a choice. When you first arrive you are asked to accept, deny, or choose, and until you do only the strictly necessary cookie below is stored. You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie preferences link at the foot of every page.
There are three categories:
Strictly necessary. One first-party cookie, ludic_consent, which records
the choice you made so we do not have to ask again on every page. It expires
after roughly six months. It contains no identifier and is not shared with
anyone. This category cannot be switched off — without it the site cannot
remember that you declined.
Analytics. Helps us understand which pages are read and where people get stuck, so we can improve them. Set by Google Analytics and Hotjar. This may include non-personal information about the computer, mobile device or other device you use to access this website, such as IP address, geolocation information, device type, screen size, browser type and browser language. We perform statistical analysis of visitors and their viewing patterns to improve the accessibility of our content.
Marketing. Lets us measure our advertising and show you relevant Ludic content elsewhere. Set by Meta, LinkedIn, Google Ads, Mailchimp and HubSpot.
Our showreels and case-study films are hosted on Vimeo. Every player on this site is requested with Vimeo's do-not-track flag set, which means the player stores no cookies on your device and records no session data about you.
The film at the top of the home page and of our service pages starts playing when the page loads, without waiting for a cookie choice, because it carries no cookies to consent to. Your browser does still contact Vimeo to fetch it, which means Vimeo receives your IP address and the page you came from. If you are on a mobile connection, or you have asked your device to reduce data or motion, the film is not loaded at all and you see a still image instead.
Films inside the body of a page — the ones on our case studies — are different: those wait until either you have accepted marketing cookies or you have clicked to load that particular video. Where a player has not been loaded you will see a link to watch the film on vimeo.com instead.
Our enquiry form is provided by HubSpot. It is loaded only if you accept marketing cookies; until then, and if you decline, the page shows a plain form of our own that emails your enquiry to us instead. Declining cookies does not stop you contacting us. HubSpot's separate site-wide tracking script is gated the same way.
How we use any information we collect
We use your information for the limited purposes described below and do not sell it or pass it to third parties for their own purposes.
Answering you. We use the contact details you give us to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to carry out work you have asked us to do.
Communication. If you have opted in, we use your details to send our newsletter and occasional information about our work. Every mailing carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately.
Where you have agreed to something else. We may use information for any other purpose disclosed to you at the time we collect it, or to which you have separately consented.
Steps we take to protect your privacy
To prevent unauthorised access, maintain data accuracy and ensure the appropriate use of information, we put in place commercially reasonable physical, technical and administrative controls to protect all information we collect. Please note that no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
Your rights regarding personal data we hold
You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection in respect of the personal data we hold about you by contacting us at creatives@ludicgroup.com. We may ask you to verify your identity before responding. We will respond as soon as we can, and in any case within the period the law allows. If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this privacy policy
This privacy policy may be amended from time to time. When it is updated, the date of the last update will appear at the top of the page. If we make material changes we will say so here.
